Built in the Real World — Not in Theory

George Michael DeMoya didn't learn about business risk in a classroom. He grew up in it.

Raised within a second-generation international import-export business founded in 1967, George spent his early years watching global trade from the inside — contracts executed across borders, currencies shifting, regulations changing, supply chains stretching from Europe to Latin America to North America. Miami wasn't just where the business was based; it was a crossroads of international commerce.

Over four decades, George worked across healthcare systems, manufacturing companies, food and industrial businesses, and multinational trade operations. He worked with Fortune 500 corporations, government agencies, and mid-market companies navigating complex business decisions.

Why He Started ID2Solve Management Consultants

After decades of watching preventable failures, George realized that the business world had a gap: everyone was focused on building the case for a decision, but almost nobody was independently testing whether the decision could survive real-world conditions.

Traditional consultants helped companies find opportunities. Lawyers helped with contracts. Accountants verified the numbers. But no one was stepping back and asking: "If these assumptions are wrong — and some of them will be — can this company handle the consequences?"

That question became the foundation of ID2Solve Management Consultants. And the methodology he built around it — Independent Decision Review™ — is now helping executives across multiple industries and countries avoid costly mistakes before they happen.

Across all these industries, he noticed the same pattern: major initiatives didn't fail because leaders lacked intelligence. They failed because key assumptions were never independently tested — and by the time the problems appeared, it was too expensive to change course.

How He Thinks

George's approach is direct and practical. He believes that executive time is the most valuable and constrained resource in any organization, that big decisions deserve an honest outside review — not just internal cheerleading, that true independence means having no financial stake in the outcome, and that protecting capital is more important than chasing every opportunity.

His work often involves asking questions that are uncomfortable but necessary: Who actually makes the final call here? What happens if this doesn't work? Have you defined what "too expensive to continue" looks like? What are you assuming that you haven't actually tested?

These are the questions that protect companies from their own blind spots.

Looking Ahead

George's vision is for Independent Decision Review to become a recognized business discipline — as fundamental to executive decision-making as finance, legal, and operations. Not every company needs it today. But as business complexity increases, AI reshapes industries, and global expansion creates new risks, the need for independent decision review will only grow.

His goal is not to build the biggest consulting firm. It's to build the most trusted one — serving executives across the Americas and Europe who understand that the best time to find a problem is before you've committed the money.

Find the problems while they're cheap. Fix them before they're expensive.
